Eric Tobiassen took ownership of the accounting practice in 2014 from his associate, Larry Wilkinson. Wilkinson owned the practice, formerly known as Leister & Wilkinson and then WLW Accounting, since 1987 after acquiring it from Klein Leister. Larry continues to practice at the office during tax season and is available on a limited basis throughout the year.  

 

Originally from Germantown, Maryland, a suburb outside of Washington, D.C., Eric moved to the Shore in 2010.  He earned his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Frostburg State University in 2009 and started working at the office in 2010. In 2018, he earned his MBA from Frostburg State University.

Eric is a licensed Maryland Tax Preparer, as required by the Maryland Board of Individual Tax Preparers.  He is also a Registered Tax Return Preparer (RTRP) with the IRS.  Both designations require continuing education to maintain a standard of competency and conduct for tax professionals.
